Preface

The Preface should be typed in font size 20 --- 4.5 cms from the left edge and 5.5 cms below the top edge of the paper in lower case letter. 2 cms down the word Preface will start the matter (the write-up) that will cover an area of 14.5 cms north-south and 12 cms left-right. 1 cm below the last line will be the page number in roman.

At the end of the preface, two spaces below the last line will be the name and present address of the author at the left.

Chapters

(a) The chapter number should be at the top of the page, 4.5 cms from the top edge. The name of the chapter should be in caps with font size 20. The distance between the chapter number and chapter title should be 0.5 cm.

(b) Sub-heading should start at 2.5 cms below the title of the chapter, and the matter under the
subheading should start after double spacing. All sub-heading should use font size 12 in
bold.

c) Any note needing explanation should be indicated with raised numerical with consecutive
numbers, such as:

Feminisation of poverty is an important phenomenon in the third world¹.
However, poverty culture is not necessarily a big problem in developing countries².

(d) In the case of reference, the name of the author, the year of publication and the page or pages, if any, should be placed in brackets, e.g.,

(Smith, 1999, p.200)
(Sen, 1998,pp. 133-145)
